Since I failed to post last weekend's activities, too, here is a quick rundown of not one, but TWO weekends.
Two weekends ago we were incredibly busy. We drove to State College to meet up with my parents, expose Robby to Penn State's campus for the first time where he could see it (I was pregnant last time I visited), and drop off Chris and my dad to watch the game.
After my mom and I left State College, Chris and my dad watched a game:
And my mom, the Lion, and I went to a sports bar in Rochester, NY where my cousin was holding his rehearsal dinner:
Robby was obviously the life of the party.
The next day, all of us were there for the wedding:
Everyone pictured was a relative. Like the big group walking to the church? Lots o' cousins.
Oh, we also inherited the family chair for the time being:
...And this weekend? Not much happening. We watched football, did chores, walked in Valley Forge. Typical weekend stuff.
So, there's your picture-heavy, word-light recap. The end. :)

Making Memories: Wedding Quilt
In anticipation of our wedding, Chris and I decided we did not want the traditional guest book. We felt that too often it gets pushed into the depths of a bookcase and never looked at again. We wanted to treasure the well-wishes of our family and friends, and therefore decided on a quilt.
It helps that Chris's mother is an avid and talented quilter. She has taught me a bit, but I've only pulled off one so far. As frequently happens, she had me design it, and help choose fabrics and colors. (I'll have to show your our master's bed quilt she made. Oh, she did not think that the color and design would work, but it's now one of her favorite pieces.) I assisted the concept by embroidering the center square.
I was very pleased with how it turned out, and it continued the colors and butterfly theme from the wedding. The shades of the colors are obviously a little more subdued, though, just so that they would work in our house.
What was so special about this, was that guests were invited to sign the white squares of the quilt will well-wishes, thoughts, and memories of the day. Some people, gave advice:
Much appreciated, Cathy!!!
Some people voiced their football opinions:
And, finally, my Aunt Polly can be relied upon to tell us to get on having kids:
This is quite possibly one of my most treasured possessions now and is hung prominently in our guest room. Thank you so much Mrs. P!!! (and everyone who wrote comments)

Reception Fun
Ok, trying to move a bit faster through these. How much wedding can everyone take? Here's some pictures from the reception. I've heard a bunch of people claim that this was the most fun wedding they'd been to in awhile, if not ever. I don't know if they were being nice, delusional, or just enjoyed our wackiness, but I thought I'd start with the nice, demure, cake-cutting picture to make it seem classy. Now on to the craziness.
Tim might want to watch his wife. I think she has some burlesque dreams.
That's right. We're the married couple. What of it?
Aw, sibs.
Yes, I'm a dancing fool. But I swear, the entire night I had 2 glasses of wine, and Mr. T only had 1 beer. We're just that ridiculous.
Mrs. T and Danielle picked up on the pink theme.
Mrs. P became one of the girls.
Notre Dame, represent!
Silly Piano Man tradition of my husband's family. Sway in a circle at the end of the night when that's all you're capable of.
And...everyone picking each other up.
That's it for now!

Ceremony
Obviously, I was not taking pictures while I was on the alter. It just proved too difficult logistically, so these are thanks to Cathy, Mark, Uncle Jack, Matt's Missy, and Danielle. Thanks everyone!
Terrible picture of me, but you can see my flowers. My dad walking me down the aisle.
We seem pretty happy. I kept giggling, and Chris said that it was so distracting that he had to look away.
Bridal Party
Readers were Cathy and my cousin Mark, and my Uncle Peter was the canter. All of them did such a wonderful job. What great choices we made!
JUST MARRIED!!!

Where I Come From
Chris and I flew back into Columbus from Hawaii last night, have picked up our puppy, and are now driving back to Pennsylvania. Back to the real world. Sigh. Had to happen, I suppose. I'll be doing many, many more wedding and honeymoon posts, but for now, as I leave my parents', I will thank them for watching our baby girl and hosting a wonderful wedding by embarrassing them. Well, not really. For instance, I know my mother actually really loves this picture from the wedding:
See where I get it from?!? I think my parents had a good time...
One of my mom with her girls:
And, ok, they aren't in these pictures, but here's their usual crew:
And my dad's best man from their wedding made it!!! But...is not in this picture. His wife is, though. They've become part of the "regular" crowd after hanging out at my brother's wedding, too.
Thank you again, Mom and Dad! Harper's gonna miss you, too!
